The Standard
Not your typical gym
| Compared | Commercial gyms | Other private gyms | ZOR Fitness |
|---|---|---|---|
| Access | Easy to join, but expect the sales pitch and the add-ons. | Usually starts with a scheduled tour and a sales pitch. | Buy online, tap Check In at the door, and train. No appointment needed. |
| Hours | Long hours, but staffed schedules and holiday closures. | Limited windows. Posted hours aren't always reliable. | 24/7/365 keyless access. The hours are never wrong. |
| Memberships | Unlimited signups. Peak hours get crowded. | Usually small by nature. | Capped at 250. Forever. |
| Contracts | Long-term contracts that are famously hard to cancel. | Usually flexible, month-to-month and discounted annually. | Month-to-month, no lock-in. Cancel with 30 days' notice, no nonsense. |
| Crowd | Anyone with a card. Every kind of gym-goer, including the content crowd. | Serious culture, but ranges from tightly gatekept to wide open. | Serious athletes who support each other. Built for the best, open to anyone willing to work. |
| Culture | Transactional. You pay, you train, nobody knows your name. | Often tight-knit, sometimes a clique that's hard to break into. | Competitive and welcoming. People train hard and help each other get better. |
| Etiquette | Reracking is optional in practice. | Usually respected. | Members rerack and keep the floor clean. It's the culture. |
| Systems | Polished apps and kiosks, built for scale. | Systems lag behind the training: calls, texts, guesswork. | Self-service everything, built by people who design systems for a living. |
| Business model | Works best when members sign up and rarely visit. | Often built right. A lot like ours. | We win when you show up: relationships, community, elite facility. |
| Who built it | Corporate teams running a franchise playbook. | Passionate lifters, not always the best operators. | Successful entrepreneurs, engineers, accountants, creatives, and athletes. Always acting on ways to improve. |

“I was in town for a Streetlifting event and stopped by a few times to get some work in. The guys running the gym are very passionate about fitness and are accommodating for their members/visitors. They also have experience in many different sports and disciplines. When I walked in I could tell the owners knew what they were doing with the layout. There are 4 areas in the gym that cover different aspects of training/fitness. The left side of the gym has several Rep Fitness squat racks which cover your general strength training needs. Immediately to your right when you walk in is the functional training area which has cable towers, bands, jump ropes, dumbbells, etc. Adjacent to that is the indoor calisthenics rig. This area is where you can train and practice a multitude of calisthenics disciplines. From the basics like pull ups and dips, to more dynamic and static movements. In the far corner of the gym is the power lifting area which has multiple combo racks, deadlift platforms, and calibrated plates. Perfect if you are a dedicated powerlifter This gym also has a lot of speciality equipment. Including but not limited to, SSB Bar, cambered bar, adjustable width dip station, modular rack attachments, belt squat machine and so on. I was told they are planning to add more speciality machines in the near future. As great as the equipment is, what really captured me was the overall aesthetic. High ceilings for the spatial feel, overhead lighting, epoxy flooring at the entrance, and several murals that are very professionally done. The Goku and Vegeta mural really got me hype when I was bench pressing. All this being said, this gym is ultimately a union of different fitness cultures within the Denver area. Instead of clashing with each other, they seem to exist together harmoniously within the facility. the community in the gym is tight knit and very supportive of each others goals and fitness ambitions. Highly recommend if you want to commit to long term membership, or even if you’re in town for a short stay”
